Where should I ground my amp?
First, your ground wire should be the same gauge as your power wire and must make direct contact with the car chassis / frame or to the battery. Use a ring terminal on the end of the ground wire to keep it securely fastened. A star washer will help your ground wire maintain a solid contact.
Where can I mount my amp?
Amplifiers need open air space around it to dissipate the build up heat, otherwise it will overheat and shut down. Never mount a amp to the subwoofer box, vibration from the box will damage the amp. Be sure to install the mounting brackets provided with your amp.
My amplifire is set up but won't turn on, whats wrong?
Make sure you check and repair the following.
* Check for blown fuses
* Is the amplifire properly grounded?
* Is the receiver on?
* Is the turn on lead properly connected?
* Do other electrical components on your car work?
* On multiple amps set ups, have you tried powering one amp at a time?
* Is the power cable from the battery firmly connected at both ends?
* Is the ground cables firmly connected to the chassis / frome with a clean electrical connection?
* Is the input swich set to the correct source? (Bluetooth / RCA)
If the answer to all those questions was yes and your amp still doesn't come on, then perform the following test before calling in the experts.
* Remove the in-line fuse from the power cable.
* Disconnect the turn on lead from the amp.
* Connect a wire from the amp remote terminal to the power terminal, leaving the power cable connected to the amp.
* Replace the power fuse.
The amplifire should come on at this time. If your amplifire doesn't turn on, you most likely have a damaged unit.
